Our collection has been sourced from Andrew’s own gold nugget finds whilst out prospecting throughout the historic Goldfields of Victoria and also other prospectors from the same region. Victoria is one of the richest locations in the world for gold nuggets and is also the location for the Largest Gold Nuggetever discovered, The Welcome Stranger, found in 1869, weighing in at a massive 2,284 ounces or approximately 66kg.
Victoria’s Gold Nuggets are approximately 480 million years old and every gold nugget used to make ILLARIY Jewellery has been dug by hand from the earth. The nuggets are natural, untreated and have their own story and amazing raw beauty to share.
These nugget studs are a fun statement for your ears, they have been matched to their individual characteristics and look gorgeous together. The surface is all rough and uncut, but it still shows some sparks. Nugget purity is about 23 Karat, just as it occurred naturally.
